Latest Maternal and Child Health Projects

The Rotary Club of Agege, District 9111 led by the President, Rtn. Femi Ogungbemi kicked off 2026 with a heartwarming celebration of two new borns at Powerline Primary Health Care Centre, Orile-Agege, Lagos.

This was as part of their Maternal and Child Health project, gifting two mothers with essential items worth around ₦255,000 each.

Mrs. Ibrahim Rashidat welcomed a 3.0 kg baby girl at 6:30 am on 1st January, followed by Mrs. Olaoluwa Oluwakemi’s 3.2 kg daughter at 10.42 am on January 1, 2026. Both mothers and babies are in excellent health.

Past President, Rtn Adebisi Ade-Onojobi Daniel joined the United President, Rtn. Femi Ogungbemi in presenting the gifts, including baby essentials, cash, and hospital essentials to each mother.

The event was made special with the presence of club members and Rotaractors, creating a joyful and festive atmosphere.

In his reaction, the Medical Officer commended the club’s timely intervention, describing it as impactful.

The beneficiary mothers expressed deep gratitude for the care and support received.

This initiative underscores Rotary’s commitment to improving maternal and child health, fostering hope and contributing to stronger community welfare.
