Our Journey Through the Years

The Rotary Club of Agege was chartered on 25th June 1984 under Charter President Rotarian Charles Adebiyi (of blessed memory), with a mission to create lasting and meaningful change within our community.

From its early days, the club has grown into a vibrant family of professionals, business leaders, and changemakers committed to Rotary’s ideals of Service Above Self.

Over the years, RC Agege has executed impactful projects across health, education, youth empowerment, community development, peacebuilding, and economic upliftment.
Our legacy reflects dedication, integrity, excellence, and a passion for improving lives.

RC Agege has also produced four District Governors, sponsored several Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact Clubs, and continues to expand its influence across District 9111 and beyond.

Major Milestones in Our Legacy

1984

RC Agege officially becomes a Rotary Club under Charter President Charles Adebiyi.

1990s

Early impactful humanitarian projects in health, sanitation, and education begin.

2000s

Strengthened Rotaract & Interact partnerships, sponsored youth clubs focused on leadership and service.

2010s

Completed water and sanitation projects, school support programs, and medical outreaches.

2020s

Adopted modern systems, expanded social presence, and continued strong community impact.
