May was a month of strategic planning and impactful community outreach for the Rotary Club of Agege. Members collaborated closely on upcoming projects and engaged with partners to amplify our service footprint.
The highlight of the month was our Clean Water Initiative, where the club donated water filtration units to 20 families in Agege Community. This aligns strongly with Rotary’s Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) focus area, promoting healthier living environments.
Our fellowships were enlightening and interactive, with discussions centered on planning for the Back-to-School Drive, strengthening member involvement, and hosting visiting Rotarians from Ikeja South, who shared insights about their projects.
Youth Service also remained active this month as members of the Rotaract Club provided updates on their reading club initiative. The club pledged to support them with new storybooks and additional learning materials.
In the coming month, plans are underway for an Education Support visit on June 5 and the Rotary Family Health Day taking place later in June.
We appreciate the efforts of Rtn. Grace Omowumi, who coordinated logistics for the water project and ensured smooth execution.
Together, we continue to build hope and strengthen our community through meaningful service.
